A Castle Connolly Top Doctor, a peer-nominated, merit-based recognition earned by only a small percentage of physicians nationwide.
Dr. Zarndt is a board-certified sports medicine physician whose career has taken her from the sidelines of collegiate athletics to the highest levels of professional sport. She has served as Assistant Team Physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and UCLA Athletics, Head Primary Care Team Physician for the UCLA Women’s Basketball Team, Associate Team Physician for the University of Texas Longhorns, team physician for the Allegiant Air USA Cycling Team, and ringside physician for USA Boxing. She currently serves as the first female Team Physician for the Las Vegas Raiders and Head Team Physician for the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces.
Her academic background shapes the way she practices. Dr. Zarndt served as chief resident during her training and as assistant professor and full-time teaching faculty for both the UCLA Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and Dell Medical School at UT Austin. She is currently appointed as an adjunct assistant professor at Touro University Nevada, where she continues to mentor medical students and resident physicians. The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine recognized her research in medical care at endurance events, and VEGAS INC named her one of the Top 40 Under 40 Las Vegas professionals.
Dr. Zarndt grew up in Las Vegas, competing as a student athlete at Cheyenne High School before going on to become a second-generation UNLV athlete. She earned a conference championship in the 10,000 meters and was named NCAA Woman of the Year for the state of Nevada.
That athletic background never left her. As a published author on female athlete health concerns, she brings both personal experience and clinical depth to the care of female athletes at every age and stage. Whether she is treating a high school soccer player or a professional competitor, her approach is shaped by knowing firsthand what it means to push your body and refuse to sit out.
Today, when she is not in the clinic or on the sidelines, you can find her running and cycling the roads and trails around Southern Nevada.
